Best writing news of the month is...

The Muse It Up (online) Conference from October 12-18, 2009 is FREE my PNN writer friends. Yup, TOTALLY FREE. And I'm stoked because this year once again there will be agents, editors and authors leading workshops and seminars to help you hone your writing craft. The Muse it up website has been named one of the "Best 101 Websites" for writers by Writer's Digest, a highly coveted award by those in the writing/publishing industry.

Registration ends September 20, 2009, which has been extended. So if you plan to register, do it now.

This conference is the only one of it's kind of which I'm aware. All the materials by the presenters are free. Once you register, Lea Schizas, the website owner, will email you with your information. You will select your classes and email your selections back to Lea. You can navigate around the conference website neighborhood and get a feel for things, print off your free materials etc. before the actual conference begins. Lea usually opens a chat room for attendees to socialize. She also opens a forum where you can ask the presenters questions and they actually reply. All of the presenters are professionals-writers, agents or publishers. The writing conferences you've been wanting to attend and couldn't afford are brought to you free.

If you opt to participate, please consider offering a donation. While the conference is free, and all the presenters donate their time, Lea incurs expenses to host such an amazing conference.

Hope to see you there!
